'Robo-Nanny' - Retro-futuristic Character

A character concept I developed for a retro-futuristic domestic robot. I wanted to create a robot based on a typical idealised version of the 1950's housewife. I included traits like a thin waist, done up hair and a pretty face with typical 50's makeup like eyeliner, lipstick and dark eyebrows.
I needed the design to be practical and one that could easily fit into a family home environment, therefore the single foot on a wheel and the swivel waist were introduced. The swivel waist was based on the idea that parents need eyes on the back of their head when looking after children.
I had a lot of fun designing, modelling and texturing this character and after receiving plenty of feedback, I have greatly improved the look of it. By using Substance Painter, I have been able to make the robot, look a bit more ragged and dirty especially around the base and on the apron. By animating the face, I have been able to bring the character to life even with simple eye movements.
